Our thinking is affected by our eating

"I have been instructed that flesh meat has a tendency to animalize the nature, to rob men and women of that love and sympathy which they should feel or everyone, and to give the lower passions control over the higher powers of the being. If meat eating was ever healthful, it is not safe now. Cancers, tumors, and pulmonary diseases are largely caused by meat eating.
We are not to make the use of flesh meat a test of fellowship, but we should consider the influence that professed believers who use flesh meats have over others. As God's messengers, shall we not say to the people, "Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God"?" ~ Ellen White

    Dear Ngasira,
Me and you share sth in common and that is true belief and love for God, our Creator. I must say, that I am christian and thus, also believe in Jesus and Holy Spirit. If you believe in the same you will understand my following words.
At some point of my life I turned to vegetarianism as it seemed perfect sense that my love for God shouldnt be infected by flesh eating. However, I studied the topic thoroughly and came up with very interesting discoveries.
First of all, Jesus ate meat (fish) and he never said that we shouldnt. Right the opposite: God gave us this food and he said IT WAS GOOD, by refusing it we are refusing God's gift. Moreover, it says in the holy writings through the messages that were sent by a Holy Spirit that the humanity will face the following challenges on the way to God: refusal to marriage and refusal to eating meat. Why? Because the roots of vegetarianism come from Asia where it was formed by different natives who practice everything but the true love for our Lord. In our modern world the most challenge we children of Jesus Christ face is the recognization of his true words opposed to pop culture saying believe in cool Buddha, do Yoga, practice Vegetarianism and so on.
My only message for you is, please be careful and dont trust the first words you hear, always turn to the real words given by God himself and dont let yourself be fooled. I recommend you to do a research in the internet: just type Vegetarianism and God or Bible and you will probably hit the reference I am talking about. If you would like to discuss this topic some more I would be more than happy to be your listener.
    God loves you.
    Daria:)
