A vision of the Sabbath Commandment

The seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall not do any work; you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your os, nor your donkey, nor any of your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates, that your manservant and your maiservant may rest as well as you.
    ~ Deuteronomy 5:14

Jesus stood by the ark, and as the saint's prayers came up to Him, the incense in the censer would smoke, and He would offer up their prayers with the smoke of the incense to His Father.

In the ark was the golden pot of manna, Arron's rod taht budded, and the tables of stone, which folded together like a book. Jesus opened them, and I saw the ten commandments written on them with the finger of God. On one table were four, and on the other six. The four on the first table shone brighter than the other six. But the fourth, the Sabbath commandment, shone above them all; for the Sabath was set apart to be kept in honor o God's holy name. The holy Sabbath looked glorious - a halo of glory was all arond it...

And I saw that if God had changed the Sabbath from the seventh to the first day, He would have changed the wriing of the Sabbath commandment, written on the tables of stone, which are now in the ark in the most holy place of the temple in heaven; and it would read thus: The first day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God. But I saw that it read the same as when written on the tables of stone by the finger of God, and delivered to MOses on Sinai, "But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lor thy God." I saw that the holy Sabbath is, and will be, the separating wall between the true Israel of God and unbelievers; and that the Sabbath is the great question to unite the hearts of God's dear, waiting saints.

I saw that God had children who do not see and keep the Sabbath,. They have not rejected the light upon it. And at the commencement of the time of trouble, we were filled with the Holy Ghost as we went forth and proclaimed the Sabbath more fully.

I love the pictures you have posted. I pray to God that as you live life, that through Jesus and the Holy Spirit you will be able to live life to the full, that you will be able to walk in his power and in his strength, not in your own understanding, but trusting completely in God and watching many miracles be done in you and through you. That you will find the power of God flowing through you giving you courage and boldness that you have never felt before. That you would be a role model for many and when they ask where you get this strength, this courage, this wisdom, you will be ready with your testimony of how you met Jesus and how he has changed your life, from the inside out.

God loves you, there is nobody in this world like you, there is nobody in this world who can replace you. So stand firm on the word of God and trust in him, today and always. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Dear Ngasira. Thanks for dropping by my site and for your comments about the day of sabbath rest. Of course you didn't upset me! I am grateful someone is reading these posts! The issue you have raised, to me, is a thorny one. The Fourth Commandment is the only commandment not clearly repeated in the pages of the New Testament; it seems that the gentile believers were not under obligation to keep what we would call today "Saturday" rest. I have struggled with this issue for twenty years! I hope that I will always be teachable and open as you have asked. I confess to you that my greater concern these days is not "which day" but "that a seventh day" be set aside. Maybe if that were the norm I would be more keen about the "which day" issue. At any rate, before the Fourth Commandment was the creation, and so I see the pattern of six days and one as rooted in the "order of things." That is where my focus is for now. I also cannot dismiss the very powerful shift in the tradition of the church both to gather for worship on the Lord's day from the beginning, and as it spread to gentile lands and became more "established" how the "Lord's Day" became the seventh day rest. I wish there had been clearer Scriptural bearings for that change that we could look back and see. At any rate, I appreciate your concern and thank you for your comments. Joel.
